Please feel free to share this tribute through your respective networks.

Natalie’s viewing took place on 10 January 2010, starting at 6 pm and running through 8 pm at the Found and Sons Lee Chapel1.

Among those who gathered were Tee Morris, husband; Dan and Vickie, Natalie’s parents; Tee’s parents; various surviving family members; many of Tee and Natalie’s work associates; and a host of Tee and Natalie’s personal friends.

The receiving line was necessarily long due to the overwhelming number of guests that came to pay their respects to Natalie and to her surviving family members. Guests were given the opportunity to sign a guest book, a small velvet bag with wild flower seeds2, and a memorial hand out.

For those that were unable to attend, we have provided a scanned .PDF version of the pamphlet that was handed out to attendees.

The mid-sized chapel was quickly filled as people began to group and discuss her passing as well as their many memories of the woman that she was.

It is my opinion that the viewing was a necessary part of the grieving process. So many of the people that attended stayed near the open casket to express to Natalie many of the things they wish they had been able to tell her in life.

Her mother, Vicki, and her step-father, Dan, both expressed a strong belief that the amount of support that has been evidenced in the last week has allowed the family to move through the grief in a very beneficial way. Her family is very grateful to all those who have given their prayers, well wishes, sympathies, and gifts of time and or money during this time of grief.

Tee as well expressed many times through the evening that the support and love of the community has allowed for a much easier period than might otherwise occur.

While I cannot show what happened at the viewing last evening, it is my sincere hope that all those that wished to attend but could not will take away from this message all the hope and love that was expressed by the community as a whole during the proceedings.

It was good to see that Natalie left behind so many lives that had been touched during her life and that would go on celebrating the person that she was.

Natalie’s Memorial Service will take place on January 12th, 2010. It will commence at 1:00 p.m. at the Antioch Church of Christ, 8310 Plantation Lane, Manassas, VA 20108 with Pastor John M. Ulm officiating .
